Here are some frequently asked questions from potential experts on player intro.

How much can I make?

We have some coaches and experts that sell out within a day and some that get a few bookings each month. We believe that experts will have the opportunity to generate significant additional income.

Is there a minimum time commitment?

You can add as many sessions as you'd like. There are no minimums or maximums. We have some experts that offer one hour per month and others that offer 50+ hours per month. It is all up to you!

Do I have to prepare for these sessions?

No. Just join the video call, listen to the callers questions, and help them out. It's free form and does not require any work before or after the session. Experts can always choose to ask the caller pre-session questions to better prepare for exchange, but this is not required whatsoever.

Is my contact information exposed?

No! Your email and/or phone number will remain completely confidential at all times. Only your name will be displayed on calls! We take your privacy very seriously.

How long are the sessions?

All sessions run on a 30 minute duration schedule. If you would like a longer or shorter duration option on your bookings, please contact our team!

How much should I charge?

We recommend taking your desired 30-minute rate and adding a 30% premium to it. We have experts that charge anywhere from $30 to $200+ per half hour for their information, guidance, insights, and more.

Do I have to pay a subscription fee to join Player Intro?

Player Intro is completely free to join. We only make money when our experts make money, and we also believe in a fair pricing model. For bookings through our marketplace, we ask for a 30% commission, you keep the rest and majority always!

Follow these quick, easy steps:

We are excited to have you join the platform as a coach, scout, expert, or top mind! Here's a few steps to get you started.

All communication with Player Intro, including your virtual meeting invitation links, will be sent to the email you provide upon sign up! You can also find the meeting link in the "Booking Details" tab on the Player Intro Platform.

Please feel free to open these steps in a different device or window so that you can follow along as your create your new listing!

If you want to join the platform as an expert, on desktop, begin by clicking the purple "New Experts, Create Your Listing" button at the top of the page or, on mobile, in the black box at the bottom of the slide-out menu.
If you do not have an account, you will be prompted to either sign up or sign in. Please do so! After signing up, you will receive a verification email to verify your email. If you do not see the verification email immediately, check your junk / spam! Please complete this before proceeding.
Once you are signed in, you will be able to create a listing. First, you will select your category, which will be the level you are involved with. Please select the most current and accurate representation available.
If applicable, a subcategory selection will appear. Please select the most current and accurate representation available.
Next, type in your name, first and last.
Then, list your experience or resume. For this text box, please provide an in-depth breakdown of your applicable experience / resume in the following format:

Job Title - Current Position, Company, Team (League), or other

(if a job title is in the past, please add "fmr." before)

Next, add the years of experience you have been involved with the sport. This is up to your discretion as this could be playing, coaching, scouting, exposure, or all the above.

In the "Notables & Accomplishments" text box, please list any applicable successes or career happenings that you are proud of.

*optional - In the "Player Specialization & Area of Expertise" section, feel free to add a specialized area of expertise if you have one (i.e. goaltending coach, skills coach, etc.).

*optional - In the "Other Topics I Enjoy Discussing" section, feel free to note some topics you are passionate about or that you feel you can bring value within. This will help build a well-rounded profile and create additional incentive for players and parents to book time with you.

Next, set the price you wish to be paid for the video call. The minimum price of $30 per half hour.
Then, set your time zone, and set your weekly availability by adding the days and hours that you will be available for booking, this can be edited and changed at any time in the future.
Lastly, provide a clear, high resolution, professional headshot photo that participants can view. Then click "Publish Listing".
Finally, please input your banking information as this will be how you are paid. Once you input your banking information (account and routing numbers) to receive payouts, you will be prompted to provide additional information through Stripe. Please complete all of these steps to ensure proper setup. This Stripe account will allow you to receive payouts from Player Intro!

This is a mandatory step upon joining as an expert on Player Intro.

Once a payout method has been created in Stripe, you will return to Player Intro and click "Publish listing". Your listing will be sent to our team for approval! Once approved, you will be added to the website.

Know Who You're Talking To.

Know who you are talking to. Take a minute or two before the meeting to familiarize yourself with the player. Players will have "about" sections, hometowns, former teams played on, etc. This will mean the world to them.

How Do Discounts Work?

When someone uses a discount code to book a meeting on Player Intro, your earnings aren't affected. Player Intro absorbs the discount from the platform’s percentage, ensuring your payout is always in full! We believe this approach better supports the sports community, coaches, and families alike.
